    Includes house call and quality of life physical exam to discuss palliative care options. Additional mileage fee applies, see below.

  • Mileage fee applies for all house calls as listed below:

    <20 km (Fruitvale, Montrose, Ross Spur, Trail, Warfield, Tadanac) = $0, no mileage fee

    21-35 km (Rossland, Patterson, Genelle, Salmo) = $98

    36-50 km (Castlegar, Ymir) = $150

    51-75 km (Thrums, Crescent Valley, Nelson) = $220

    76-100 km (Slocan Park, the North Shore, Christina Lake) = $308

Cremation options

I coordinate transportation from your home to the crematorium, ensuring care and dignity throughout. See Aftercare for details.

  • Your pet will be cremated alongside other animals and their ashes will be spread in a forested area in Fruitvale with nearby hiking trails.

    Small dog/cat: 0-10 kg (0-20 lbs) - $149.50

    Medium dog:10-25 kg (20-50lbs) - $175.50

    Large dog: 25-50 kg (50-100 lbs) - $227.50

    Giant dog: >50 kg (over 100 lbs) - $300

  • Your pet will be cremated individually, ensuring only their remains will be returned to you in your choice of an urn or scatter tube. This includes complimentary home delivery of ashes by Kootenay Pet Cremations.

    Small dog/cat: 0-10 kg (up to 20 lbs) - $318

    Medium dog: 10-25 kg (20-50 lbs) - $354

    Large dog: 25-50 kg (50-100 lbs) - $396

    Giant dog: >50 kg (over 100 lbs) - $474.50

Additional details

Preferred payment methods are online via the PetCare portal or e-transfer to ayersvetservices@gmail.com. Visa/Mastercard, Interac debit or cash are also accepted.

All services are subject to applicable taxes.

Same-day and/or urgent visits may be available upon request. While I can usually accommodate booking requests within 12-24 hours, I’m regrettably unable to provide emergency services.
